MISSIONS

Missions is a vital Part of our Ministry here at FBC.  Whether it be worldwide or locally, we are committed to sharing God's love and providing opportunities to pray, to share the Gospel locally and abroad and to financially support the needs in our community and the world.

  • BRYCE & CAROLYN CARLAW

    Crossworld - Douglas Cork Ireland

Bryce & Carolyn have been serving in the Cork city suburb of Douglas since ‘98 along with their four children,Nathan, Abigail, Jonothan and Hannah. A new church started there in May, 2006 where Bryce is an elder and does the majority of teaching (as there is no pastor at the moment). Their desire is that the Douglas Baptist church will go on to reproduce and start a new church in the neighbouring town.

    Most recent letter:

It has been a good year for the BMSLA, the CEC (Bible School) celebrated 10 years of ministry in San Carlos.  Former students met with Howard Dyck, Ryan Thiessen and others to talk about what they need as they serve in their local churches.  Many students expressed a desire to get more education to increase their knowledge of the Bible.

Oscar Rangel was given a piece of land to build a church in Aconchi. Please pray that the Lord will allow the church to get built.

We have new missionaries: Denver Janz joined his wife Katie and their daughter Noel and they are in San Carlos working with Katie's parents, Howard and Susan Dyck.

Judy & Paul Paquette have been sent down to Mexico and will use their gifts in the are of evangelism and church plants.

There is more to be excited about, but mostly it is just wonderful to see the Lord at work in different ways. Thank you for your generous giving and for praying that the Lord will continue to bless the work in Mexico.  The BMSLA is the Lord's work and we trust He will use our offerings to reach the lost in Mexico.
