Philippians Week 9: We Become Who We Behold
Sermon Discussion Questions:
1) Who are you watching and imitating? How do they walk?
2) Who is watching you? Would you confidently say, “follow me, as I follow Christ”?
3) Look again at Colossians 3:2 and Philippians 3:19. Being as honest with yourself as you can, what things would you say your mind is set on? How can we change this setting?
4) Note the three attitudes toward our bodies in Philippians 3: A thing that can save (3:2-3), a thing to be worshipped (3:19), a thing to be redeemed (3:21). Which (if any) do you think if most common today? How do you see that way of thinking influencing your own attitude toward your body?
5) What does it mean to be a citizen of heaven (Ephesians 2:19; Philippians 3:20)?
6) Notice Paul’s tone in Philippians 4:1. How can you lovingly encourage your sister or brother to stand firm in the Lord this week?
